Sugar Hint 5.4.3

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are included in this release of Hint:

• Support for Sugar 11.3.x (Q1 2022): Hint 5.4.3 is supported for use with Sugar's upcoming Q1 2022 release.
• Disabled auto-assignment of Hint licenses: Starting with this release, Hint licenses are no longer auto-assigned after a new Hint installation in order to prepare for license management via SugarCloud Settings in Sugar 11.3.
• Updated icons on Admin page: The Hint icons on Sugar's Admin page have been updated to match the refreshed styles in Sugar 11.3.

• Dark mode: Hint 5.4.2 supports dark mode, which was introduced in Sugar's 11.2.x (Q4 2021) release.

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are included in this release of Hint:

• Enrich contact and lead avatars: If Hint finds an avatar (e.g. profile picture) for a contact or lead, you can now choose to enrich the Avatar field with the found image.
• Enrich account logos: Company logos are now enriched and are shown next to the account name in record view.
• Hint services in Europe: The services used by Hint are now hosted in both the United States and the Europe regions. By default for new Hint installations, Hint will connect with services hosted in the region nearest to that of the Sugar instance.
• Improved uninstallation: On Sugar versions 10.2.1 and higher, Hint now provides its own uninstallation tool that more cleanly handles uninstalling Hint and disabling all Hint Insights notifications. If desired, it is also possible to resume previously configured notifications upon reinstallation of Hint.
• Turn off all notifications for an instance: Admins can now disable all Hint notifications for an instance, which can be useful to prevent duplicate notifications when cloning an instance for troubleshooting purposes.
• Restore default fields per module: The link to restore the default Hint field configuration in Admin > Hint Fields now only updates the tab you currently have open (e.g. Leads) instead of all tabs.

• 85986: News story images in Hint Insights emails may be displayed much larger than intended.
• 85905: Hint may stop providing enriched data after restoring a Sugar instance from a backup.
• 82507: The Hint jobs created for use by Hint are not editable in Admin > Scheduler.
• 82058: Uninstalling Hint does not remove the Hint-specific fields from the Sugar instance.

The following issues have been resolved in this release of Hint. Case Portal users can use the following links for more details about the issues:

• 85110: Upgrading Hint may fail because Elasticsearch indexes or not removed during the uninstall process due to issue 82039 in Sugar, which is resolved in Sugar 10.2.0 (Q4 2020).
• 85002: When upgrading Hint using Module Loader, an additional progress bar may display as incomplete even though the package installation completed successfully due to issue 85000 in Sugar, which is resolved in Sugar 10.2.0 (Q4 2020).
• 84922: The Hint panel may not load enriched data if the module's record view has been customized, such as by updating the layout using Studio.
• 82505: Hint installation appears to succeed but actually fails due to issue 84288 in Sugar, which is resolved in Sugar 10.2.0 (Q4 2020).

Sugar Hint 5.3.2

Fixed Issues

• 85335: The Hint panel may fail to load enriched data after a failed Sugar instance upgrade. (Automatic update applied August 21, 2020)
• 85142: Accessing the Hint panel may result in an error (e.g. View Render Failed) for customers using Sugar version 9.3.x or lower.

Hint 5.3.1 is a security update released to address a security issue identified during our routine QA checks. We recommend that you install this update at the earliest opportunity.

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are included in this release of Hint:

• Account auto-fill: When entering a new account name, Hint now provides account suggestions and automatically populates all available fields when you select one of the suggestions.
• Field configuration
  
  • Field enrichment configuration: It is now possible to configure which fields Hint can enrich in addition to which fields are displayed in the Hint panel.
  • Filtering fields during configuration: A search bar has been added to the Hint Fields drawer to quickly find the field you are trying to configure.
• Phone number types: Hint now identifies the type (e.g. mobile) of each phone number in the enriched data for contacts and leads.
• Support for Sugar 10.1.x (Q3 2020): Hint 5.3.0 is supported for use with Sugar's upcoming Q3 2020 release.
• Edge browser support: Hint 5.3.0 is supported for use in the Edge browser.

• 84300: The Hint tab is not available in the intelligence pane on Leads list view.
• 84160: Dollar amount fields in Hint may show the wrong currency.
• 83844: The Annual Revenue field on Lead records may be blank in Hint when a value is available.
• 83608: Hint Insights email digests may contain duplicate news stories.
• 82628: An error may occur when creating a case with the "require_accounts" config setting disabled when Hint is installed.
• 82537: The opt-out icon next to email addresses that have opted out of marketing campaigns may not be displayed in record view.
• 80273: Hint may overwrite user-populated fields during record creation. As a workaround, when creating new accounts, leads, and contacts, download any desired Hint data prior to populating other fields.

Hint 5.1.2 is a security update released to address a security vulnerability identified during our routine QA checks.

We strongly recommend that you install this update at the earliest opportunity. While we have not experienced any reported incidents relating to this vulnerability to date, failure to install this update could leave you exposed to malicious third-party attacks. For more information regarding this, please refer to the following Security Advisory announcements:

• Security Advisory sugarcrm-sa-2019-018 : An unauthenticated user may trigger specific actions to inject or corrupt data in the Hint application.

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are included in this release of Hint:

• Support for Sugar Summer '19 (9.1.x) : Hint 5.1.0 is supported for use with Sugar's upcoming Summer '19 release.
• Hint Insights resync: A resync service has been added to the Admin page that allows admins to resynchronize their instance with the Hint Insights service when unexpected behavior occurs. This corrects issues with notifications, including changes to preferences and email addresses not taking effect.
• Hint logger: Hint now writes to the Sugar logs using the log level set by the admin in the new Hint Configuration page.
• Enhanced news search: Older stories that are not currently visible are now included in the search and filter results in the Hint Insights dashlet and the News section of the Hint panel.
• Support for proxy settings: Hint now uses Sugar's proxy settings as configured in Admin > System Settings.

• Configurable news delivery: Hint can be configured to deliver news stories related to accounts selected by the user. Delivery methods include the new Hint Insights dashlet, pop-up desktop notifications, instant emails, and email digests.
• News searching on the Hint panel: Stories in the News section of the Hint panel can now be searched by keyword and filtered by category.

• Support for Sugar Summer '18 (8.1.x): Hint 4.1.0 is supported for use with Sugar's Summer '18 release.
• Package upgrade: Upgrading Hint versions no longer requires uninstalling previous Hint packages for instances running Sugar 8.1 and higher.

Fixed Issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release of Hint. Case Portal users can use the following links for more details about each issue:

• 80547: Downloading Hint data causes a loading error in Sugar Portal.
• 79087: Calls and meetings in Hint's Activity History section incorrectly display the record's creation date rather than the start date.
• 79081: Checking the "Enable edit in Preview pane" option in Admin > System Settings does not allow contacts and leads to be edited via the Hint panel when previewing the records.
• 79080: Accessing the Hint panel via the Preview button on Global Search or a bug, tag, call, or meeting record will not display the Activity History as expected.
• 79079: Accessing the Hint panel via the Preview button when merging contacts or leads does not display enriched data.

Note: To ensure that installed fixes take effect after upgrading your Hint installation, all users should clear their browser cache and then log out and back into Sugar. If other integrations are affected by the installation or upgrade of Hint, perform a Quick Repair and Rebuild, which often resolves installation issues. • 80828: A JavaScript grouping error may prevent Hint and other installed packages from loading.

The following feature enhancements are included in this release of Hint:

• Company news: The News section of the Hint panel displays recent news stories about the lead's or contact's company.
• Hint dashboard on record views: The Hint panel is now automatically available as a stand-alone dashboard on the Contacts and Leads record view.
  Note: Customers upgrading from Hint 1.0.0 will need to delete the unused Hint dashlet from their affected dashboards.
• Enhanced data for record creation: Hint data is retrieved and copied to your new record when creating a contact or lead. Populate the email address followed by the Enter key to retrieve and import the enhanced data.
• Additional company information fields: Hint now retrieves three additional fields to capture a company's SIC code, NAICS code, annual revenue, and fiscal year end.

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are included in this release of Hint:

• Hint panel: The Hint panel displays external information such as social media accounts, work information, and company details for Sugar contacts and leads. The panel is available via the Hint dashlet on Contact and Lead record views as well as via the Preview button on Global Search, Contacts and Leads list views, and Contacts and Leads subpanels. 
• Download enriched data: Import Hint data to your contacts or leads by downloading individual field values or saving all Hint enhanced data in a single click.
• Activity history: When accessing Hint via the Preview button from Contacts and Leads list views or subpanels, the Hint panel includes an Activity History section listing recent, related calls, meetings, and emails.
