Troubleshooting Dashboard Drill-Through

Overview

To allow dashboards to streamline your analysis process as much as possible, Sugar Market provides drill-through into entities directly from dashboards. These entities include being able to drill-through into a Contact Card, an opportunity, and a landing page; however, some drill-throughs may interact differently from one user to another. This article describes those interactions and how you can adjust them.

User Permission

To access the Contact Card, your user needs to have the CRM Access Contacts 2.0 permission and have access to the record itself. Here are the possible scenarios that you may encounter:

  • Permissions Notification page: If your user does not have the CRM security attribute, you will be lead to a page notifying you that you are lacking the correct permission. Navigate to the user's roles/navigation options and assign the "CRM" security attribute to "Access Provided".
  • Permission Pop Up on Drill-Through table: If you try to drill through into a Contact Card to which you do not have access, you will receive the following error message: "You do not have the correct role or data access permission in Sugar Market to view this record. Please check with your Sugar Market admin." The user needs to either be part of a role that the lead/contact owner is also part of, or the user should be the owner of the record.
    • To assign the user to a shared role with the lead/contact owner, navigate to your account configuration screen, select roles, and then assign the user to a role in which the lead/contact owner is a part.
    • To reassign the owner of the lead/contact, open the Contact Card for the record and click on the Owner name. This will prompt you with an option to select a new owner.
  • Search page: There are occasions where the record displayed in the table could not be linked back directly to a Contact Card. In this scenario, when you attempt to drill through you will be taken to the search page, which will automatically search for the selected record and display to you all possible options.
