Overview
This document describes feature enhancements and fixed issues for Sugar Plug-in for Microsoft Excel, January 2013 release.
Feature Enhancements
The following feature enhancements are included in this release of the Sugar Plug-in for Microsoft Excel:
- Item label for queries : Querying within the plug-in by dropdown or multiselect values now allows use of the displayed labels of the options.
- Updating numeric fields : Updates to numeric fields of records made from the plug-in now validates that the given input is numeric.
- LDAP support : LDAP is now supported when connecting the plug-in to a Sugar instance.
Fixed Issues
The following issues have been resolved in this release of the Sugar Plug-in for Microsoft Excel. Case Portal users can access the case portal for more details about each issue:
- 58045 : Querying from the plug-in for a dropdown or multiselect value within a record field fails when the value contains a period.
Platform Updates
The January 2013 release of Sugar Plug-in for Microsoft Excel requires .Net Framework 4 and Visual Studio Tools for Office 2010 Runtime. It is no longer necessary to have Micorsoft Office Primary Interop Assemblies installed.
For computers running Office 2007 on Windows XP, the release requires both .Net Framework 3.5 and .Net Framework 4.
Note: Service Pack 3 (SP3) is required for Windows XP to be able to install .Net Framework 4.
