Zoom Webinar Integration for Sugar Market

Overview

The Zoom Webinar Integration for Sugar Market Zoom app lets you sync Zoom webinars with Sugar Market event sessions.

Adding the App

To sync Zoom webinars with Sugar Market event sessions, you must add the Zoom app to your instance. This process can be started from the Zoom Marketplace or your Sugar Market instance.

From the Zoom Marketplace

  1. From the Zoom App Marketplace, search for the Zoom Webinar Integration for Sugar Market app
  2. Click the Visit Site to Add button.
  3. You will be redirected to the Events list view page in your Sugar Market instance; you may need to log in.
  4. Click the Create button to create a new event.
  5. From the event record view, click the Create new session button to create a new event session.
  6. For the "Session Type" select "Webinar".
  7. From the Webinar Software dropdown field select "Zoom".
  8. Below the Webinar Software dropdown field click "Click here" to be redirected to the Zoom Marketplace.
  9. Allow the Zoom app to use your shared access permissions by clicking on the corresponding checkbox and pushing the "Allow" button.
  10. You will be redirected back to Sugar Market and can now select a specific Zoom webinar to sync with your event session via the Webinar Sessions dropdown field.

From Sugar Market

  1. Click the open button at the top of the navigation bar to view all available modules.
  2. Click the Events module.
  3. Click the Create button to create a new event.
  4. From the event record view, click the Create new session button to create a new event session.
  5. For the "Session Type" select "Webinar".
  6. From the Webinar Software dropdown field select "Zoom".
  7. Below the Webinar Software dropdown field click "Click here" to be redirected to the Zoom Marketplace.
  8. Allow the Zoom app to use your shared access permissions by clicking on the corresponding checkbox and pushing the "Allow" button.
  9. You will be redirected back to Sugar Market and can now select a specific Zoom webinar to sync with your event session via the Webinar Sessions dropdown field.

Using the App

With the Zoom Webinar Integration for Sugar Market Zoom app set up, you can now sync Zoom webinars with Sugar Market event sessions. When syncing to Zoom, please be aware of the following requirements:

  • When creating your webinar in Zoom, registration must be marked as required in the Zoom webinar settings. If registration is not marked as required, Zoom will be unable to push webinar data to Sugar Market.
  • To avoid attendees receiving duplicate communications, always manage webinar registration and communications exclusively in either Zoom or Sugar Market.
  • If any participant synced from Sugar Market to Zoom cannot meet the registration requirements set for the Zoom Webinar their attendance status will be set to Registration Rejected.

Syncing Your Zoom Webinar With A Sugar Market Event Session

When creating an event session in Sugar Market you can sync it to a specific Zoom Webinar.

  1. To create a new event session, open an event record.
  2. If this is the first session created for the event, click the Create new session button.
  3. If this is not the first session created for the event, click the Add Session button.
  4. For the "Session Type" select "Webinar".
  5. From the Webinar Software dropdown field select "Zoom".
  6. Via the Webinar Sessions dropdown field, select the specific Zoom webinar to sync with your event session.

Managing the Sync

Data will automatically be synced between Zoom and Sugar Market but you can manually trigger the sync between your Zoom webinar and your event session in Sugar Market if needed.

To manually push participant data from Sugar Market to Zoom:

  1. From the Events module builder.
  2. Click the Manage Participants button within the Events Profile section.
  3. Click the Sync New Participants With Webinar button.

To manually pull participant data from Zoom to Sugar Market:

  1. From the Events module builder.
  2. Click the Manage Participants button within the Events Profile section.
  3. Select all participants and then click the refresh icon.

Removing the App

If you want to disable the sync between your Zoom webinars and Sugar Market event sessions you can remove the Zoom app.

  1. Log in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Click "Manage" in the top right corner and then Added Apps from the navigation tree. You can also search for the app via the search bar.
  3. Find the Zoom Webinar Integration for Sugar Market Zoom app and click "Remove".
