2024 Release Notes

Sugar Discover 17.2 (May 29, 2024)

Fixed Issues
  • 94916: When Regular Sugar users (i.e., non-Administrator users) in SugarIdentity are updated, they are repeatedly reset to the default NoAccess role in Sugar Discover. Administrators must re-assign Discover roles to regular Sugar users.

Sugar Discover 17.1 (May 28, 2024)

Feature Enhancements
  • Report versioning: You can now save versions of a report to the Version History and open those previous versions, allowing you to track changes more closely when collaborating on the creation process with other users.
  • Drill-down into pivot table metrics: You can now add a drill link to a metric in a pivot table so you can dive into more details that comprise the metric.
  • Real-time sync with SugarIdentity: Changes to users in SugarIdentity are now synced in near real-time with Sugar Discover rather than every hour.
  • Improved error screen: When you encounter an error, you will see a message instead of a blank white screen that requires you to refresh your session.
Fixed Issues
  • 94736: The currency symbol set in Admin > Locale in Sugar does not display on Sugar Discover reports.

Sugar Discover 17.0 (April 15, 2024)

Feature Enhancements
  • Filter metric aggregations: You can now filter string and date fields by an aggregated metric so you can, for example, show only accounts that have a sum of likely revenue that exceeds a certain amount.
  • Trend line on column or stacked column visualization: Understand trends in your data by adding a least squares linear regression trend line to a column or stacked column visualization.
  • Anchor date fields to a day: You can now anchor a relative date filter to a previous day of the week (e.g., last Friday) so that the report's period remains static for an entire week, allowing you to have a report that always shows the previous week.
  • Dynamic Y-axis minimum: To improve the readability of a Forecast Changes report, enable the Dynamic Y-Axis Minimum checkbox on the Formatting Panel to adjust the Y-axis minimum so that the Start and End columns occupy no more than ⅓ of the screen.
  • End report at current date with date slicer: When using a date slicer with the "Current and Previous" option you can now choose to include only the partial current fiscal week/month/quarter/year in your report so that the report period ends at the current date.
  • Define granularity for TOTAL function: Specify a field from your report in the TOTAL function to sum the number field over.
  • Refresh results clears the report cache: When clicking the Refresh button in the top right corner of the visualization, the cache is now cleared so you can see the latest data on your report more quickly.
Fixed Issues
  • 94374: A funnel report displays an error when there are zero records in a higher funnel stage and a non-zero number of records in a lower funnel stage.
