Supported Versions

Overview

SugarCRM regularly retires older versions of the Sugar application in order to be able to focus on delivering higher quality in the latest and upcoming product releases. See below for the list of currently-supported versions and their end-of-support plan.

End-of-Support Plan

The Sugar end-of-support plan applies to all On-Site Sugar products and versions, Sugar mobile solutions, and the Sugar Plug-ins, connectors, and extensions. After the end-of-support dates below have passed, SugarCRM will no longer provide customer support, maintenance patches, or bug fixes for the listed versions. All available upgrade and maintenance patches available at the time of the end-of-support date for a given version will remain available for download but no additional packages will be produced from that point forward.

1 Due to a one-time security extension in response to COVID-19 business adjustments, the 8.0.x support period reflects 18 months of full maintenance and security support followed by 12 months of security-only support for a total of 30 months of support.

3 Support for the Sugar Plug-in for IBM Notes has ended as of August 30, 2020. More information is available in SugarClub.

Versions earlier than 8.0 are no longer supported. Please visit this page regularly for updates.

Upgrading to Supported Versions

To upgrade to the latest supported version, find upgrade packages in the Download Manager. After downloading the appropriate upgrade files, upload and install them using the Upgrade Wizard in the Administration page in your Sugar instance. The most current versions of the Sugar plug-ins and extensions can also be found in the Download Manager.

Documentation for unsupported versions is available from the Unsupported Versions page in order to assist with your upgrade to a current version.
