SugarCRM Mobile App 76.1 (October 21, 2024)

SugarCRM Mobile App 76.0 (October 11, 2024)

Feature Enhancements
  • Modern UI redesign: Some of the core elements of the SugarCRM mobile app's design have been modernized to make your mobile experience feel bright and fresh and reflect the new user experience in Sugar 14.2.
    • Color-coded navigation: The main menu uses the same striking color palette as the desktop app to help you easily identify your frequently accessed modules.
    • Detail view refresh: The modern blue background applied in the desktop app in Sugar versions 14.2 and higher is also present in the mobile app's detail view to focus the user experience.
    • Enhanced dark mode: The elegant new color palette used for dark mode in the desktop app now applies to the mobile app too, softening the experience with muted tones.
  • Collapse smart guide sub-activities: You can now expand and collapse sub-activities of a smart guide activity, and the most recent state will be preserved the next time you open the smart guide.
  • Advanced logging: The app now has a more robust logging mode that you can use to help Sugar's Support team when troubleshooting issues.
Fixed Issues
  • 95564: Users' preferred time format is not respected in Day View of the mobile app's calendar.
  • 95078: When logging a call, it is not possible to set the Repeat field to "None" to log it as a single call with no recurrences.

SugarCRM Mobile App 75.0 (September 13, 2024)

Fixed Issues
  • 95369: It is not possible to view or update run-time filters in the Report dashlet from the mobile app.
  • 94971: Fields that are configured to be conditionally required using the Required If functionality in Studio may be required whether the condition is met or not.
  • 93036: When the admin has configured opportunity and revenue line item requirements during the lead conversion process, the mobile app does not respect these requirements.

SugarCRM Mobile App 74.0 (August 16, 2024)

Fixed Issues
  • 95267: Sugar Actions that are configured to trigger a smart guide may not successfully be triggered if the action takes place in the mobile application.
  • 94735: Users may lose in-progress edits to a record if an admin makes certain configuration changes via the desktop app while the user has the edit view open.

SugarCRM Mobile App 72.0 (June 21, 2024)

Fixed Issues
  • 94960: Creating a new opportunity while logging a call causes an error that prevents the call from being logged.
  • 94873: When trying to upload an image to an image field, an error may prevent upload on the first attempt.
  • 93983: It is not possible to select any values for run-time filters on relate fields in the mobile app's Report dashlet.

SugarCRM Mobile App 71.0 (May 24, 2024)

Feature Enhancements
  • Timeline on mobile: Record timelines, equivalent to the Timeline dashlet in the desktop app, are now available in mobile detail view so you can see a chronological view of events and activities related to the record.
    • Search and filter: Refine the contents of the timeline using the search and filter options to quickly find what you need.
    • Interact with activities: From within the timeline, you can interact with various activity cards, including by downloading attachments, unlinking records, or replying directly to emails.
Fixed Issues
  • 94732: Doc Merge is not available in the More Actions menu of a record's detail view if connected to a Sugar instance with a Sugar Enterprise license.
  • 94458: An internal error may occur when drilling into a Report dashlet's chart for a group based on a datetime field with value "Undefined".
  • 92995: The complete list of values in a multiselect field may be cut off if the field contains more than a few values.
  • 92458: If a dropdown field is required, the text "Required" is displayed over top of its actual field value when editing the record.

  • 94283: It is not possible to log in to the mobile app using standard login via Sugar credentials if the Sugar instance has been configured for single sign-on (SSO).
  • 94273: The SugarCRM mobile app may fail to fully load field data when opening a record under certain circumstances.
  • 92663: If "Related to Current Record" is selected for a Report dashlet displayed on a record's detail view, the dashlet's result set is not correctly filtered to data related to the current record.
  • 92470: When creating a record containing a flex relate field via a parent record's subpanel, the flex relate field is not automatically populated with the parent record.

  • 93231: If an address field is configured to be read-only when a condition is met, the field becomes read-only in the mobile app whether the condition is true or not.
  • 93042: When creating or editing a quote, the Tax Rate field is blank by default instead of being populated with the first tax rate value.

Fixed Issues

The following issues are resolved in this release. Case portal users can use the following links for more details about these issues:

  • 93774: File attachments on records may not be downloadable if using the SugarCRM mobile app on a device with certain Android versions.
  • 93698: The app may become unresponsive when editing and saving changes to a record several times consecutively.
  • 93285: Dependent Action Buttons that are only displayed when certain criteria are true are not displayed in the mobile app, even when all the criteria are met.
  • 92474: A "record is invalid" error may be encountered if saving a record with dropdown-conditional views where all required fields are not included on the current view.

  • 92211: When a dashboard is viewed from the desktop application, a warning message is displayed the next time the user opens the mobile app, erroneously notifying them that the dashboard configuration has changed.

  • 93227: It may not be possible to authenticate to the SugarCRM mobile app if connecting using OpenID Connect (OIDC) via SugarIdentity.
    Note: Users affected by this issue must uninstall and reinstall the SugarCRM mobile app after upgrading to version 62.1 in order to resolve the issue.

  • 92895: If you click "Cancel" while adding users to a list of meeting guests and then try to add users as guests a second time, an internal error occurs.
  • 92420: The app may become unresponsive when editing a record if the record contains a calculated textfield.

SugarCRM Mobile App 61.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Report dashlet data tables: The Report dashlet now allows you to view the data table of report results for Rows and Columns, Summation, and Summation With Details reports so you can analyze the report data in more detail.
    • Freeze first column: Pin the first column of the table so that it stays in view as you scroll horizontally to view other columns.
    • Show, hide, and sort columns: Choose which columns are displayed in the table and sort by different columns as you view the report.
  • Run-time filters in Report dashlet: Access and update the report's run-time filters when viewing a Report dashlet so you can adjust the subset of data shown in the chart and the data table.

SugarCRM Mobile App 60.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Caller ID contact and lead syncing
    • Automatic syncing: The mobile app now updates its caller ID database of contacts and leads every five minutes, ensuring calls from new prospects or updated clients can immediately be identified.
    • Manually sync all or only updated records: Using the Sync Record Data button in the caller ID settings now lets you choose to resync all contacts and leads or just those that are new, updated, or deleted.

  • 92635: If connected to a Sugar instance configured to use stand-alone opportunities, it is not possible to convert a lead to an opportunity due to an error requiring at least one revenue line item.
  • 91926: Scrolling to load more list view results does not work if a filter based on the Teams field is applied.
  • 91916: When using the mobile app in a language other than English, the names of the days and months in the calendar view are displayed in English.

  • 92100: Users may encounter an error when saving a record in a custom module from the mobile app if the module's code customization contains an empty subpanel file.
  • 92033: Fields that are configured to be conditionally required using the Required If functionality in Studio may be required whether the condition is met or not.
  • 8712187039: Text fields may be displayed as blank in Global Search results in the mobile app.

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Caller ID on incoming calls: If the phone number of an incoming call matches a contact or lead in Sugar, the record's name is displayed, helping you differentiate important client inquiries from unsolicited calls.
  • Create revenue line items when creating an opportunity: When creating a new opportunity, it is now possible to create revenue line items at the same time using a tabbed view.

  • 92023: Users may encounter an internal error when viewing or saving records in a custom module from the mobile app.
  • 91779: If logging in to the mobile app using single sign-on (SSO) via Okta, users may encounter a loop where the page loads indefinitely and they cannot successfully log in.

  • Filter by nearby records: The Distance list view filter has a new operator, "Nearby", which shows only records within a specified radius of your device's current location.

  • Tap Cloud Drive files to open them: In the Cloud Drive dashlet, you can now tap a file to immediately open it or request access to it in Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox.

The following feature enhancement is available in this release:

  • Look and feel improvements when connected to Sugar 12.3 and higher
    • Refreshed and consistent module icons: The mobile app's module icons and colors have been refreshed and now match those configured by the admin in the desktop app, giving users a consistent and modernized experience across both platforms.
    • New main menu styling: The mobile app's main menu has an updated appearance that aligns with Sugar's new navigation bar.

  • 91272: The app may take a long time to load search results when offline, with a pause occurring every time a new character is added to the search query.
  • 88412: It is not possible to add a new attachment to a note via the mobile app if the note already has at least one attached file.

SugarCRM Mobile App 53.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Report dashlet run-time filters: If a Report dashlet's run-time filter is updated in the desktop app, the new filter is applied in the mobile app's dashlet as well.
  • Edit all recurrences: You can now edit all events in a series of meetings or calls at the same time using the Edit All Recurrences option from the record's detail view.
  • Route between two records: If you have Sugar Maps, you can now get directions between two records in either Sugar Maps or your default mapping application, depending on your navigation provider selection.

  • 91095: On devices using Android 13, users are not prompted to log a call after dialing a phone number from the app.
  • 90575: When creating a quote in the mobile app, the tax rate is not auto-populated with the first tax rate in the list.

SugarCRM Mobile App 52.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Cloud Drive: Cloud Drive is now available in the mobile app so you can work with files in your Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox directly from the app.
    • Cloud Drive dashlet: Interact with the files in your third-party drive so you can access and upload files without leaving Sugar.
    • Create Sugar documents from drive files: Easily save any file in your drive as a Sugar document with the file attached.
    • Sync Sugar documents to your drive: On any Sugar document, you can sync the attached file to your drive to ensure the file is saved where you need it.
  • Maps subpanel default filter: When viewing the Maps subpanel on a record without applying a custom filter, the name of the default filter is displayed in the filter dropdown so that you know the radius of results being returned.
  • Email quotes: The Email Quote option has been added to the Quotes module so you can quickly start composing an email in Sugar with the quote's PDF file attached.

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Copy address: Press and hold a record's address in detail view to copy it to your clipboard for pasting elsewhere, such as in an email or text message.
  • Dropdown-conditional edit views: Administrators can now define edit view layouts that change in real time based on the value selected from a given dropdown field on the record.
  • Swipe to access Actions menus in dashlets: You can now access a record's Actions menu in dashlets listing records by swiping on the record, similar to other list views, instead of tapping a three-dots icon. To switch between dashlets, swipe to either side in the bottom navigation bar or tap the arrows.
Fixed Issues

The following issues are resolved in this release. Case portal users can use the following links for more details about these issues:

  • 90716: In Android, creating a note and attaching a photo taken with the device's camera fails to save the attachment to the note.
  • 90621: In Android, the date selected in a date field may not be visible until after saving the record.
  • 90590: Some users may be unable to log in or out of the mobile app or perform any actions in the app without first uninstalling and reinstalling the app on their device.
  • 90208: Action Buttons that are only displayed when a certain condition is met (e.g., when a field is set to a specific value) may not appear once the condition is met. As a workaround, log out and back in to the mobile app to make the Action Button appear.

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Shared calendars: You can now find and display user and team calendars in the app's calendar to have a view of both your own events and others' events at the same time.
  • Calendar week view event indicators: The grey dots displayed in the month navigator to show that there is at least one event on that date are now displayed in the week overview at the top of day view.
  • Case macro: When drafting an email from a case record, the case macro is automatically added to the email subject, if configured.

SugarCRM Mobile App 48.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Sugar Maps: Use Sugar Maps within the application to view, route to, and search nearby records.
    • View records on a map: View any record with an address on a map inside Sugar Mobile.
    • Route from current location: Navigate to a record's location from your current location with step-by-step directions and a visual map displayed within Sugar Mobile.
    • Nearby records: Use the Maps subpanel to view other records that are within a specified radius of the record you are viewing.
    • Distance filter: In list views, build filters with criteria that find records within a specified radius of a provided zip code.

  • 88610: The Contracts subpanel may not be displayed in the Related tab of modules with a relationship to contracts (e.g., accounts).
  • 82870: The Notes subpanel is not displayed in the Related tab of the Quoted Line Items' detail view.

SugarCRM Mobile App 46.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Block app on rooted devices: To reduce security risks, Sugar Mobile cannot be opened on rooted Android devices.
  • Doc Merge user experience improvements:
    • Message when merge initiated: When you initiate a doc merge, a message is displayed informing you that you must refresh the screen to see any updates.
    • Visual indicator for unavailable merges: In-progress doc merges are now visually greyed out to indicate that the generated documents are not yet available to be opened.

  • 89289: The Emails module must be enabled for Sugar Mobile to send emails from the app, even if the user's preferences are set to use an external email application.

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Calendar improvements:
    • Calendars based on other modules: Events from modules other than calls, meetings, and tasks are now displayed in the mobile calendar if the module's calendar (e.g., an opportunities calendar) has been configured in the desktop app.
    • Calendar month view event indicators: In the month navigator, a grey dot is displayed below each date with at least one scheduled event so you are aware of upcoming events.
  • Email improvements:
    • Attach document records to an email: You can now attach the file from a Sugar document record to an email using the mobile app.
    • Filter address book by module: It is now possible to filter the address book by record type (e.g., contact) when searching for recipients to add to an email.
    • Select email address to use as recipient: When using the email action for a record (e.g., contact) with more than one email address, you can choose which email address to use as the recipient.
  • View the error message for failed doc merges: Tapping failed document merges (i.e., those with a status of "Error") displays the error that caused the failure, which can be used to help with troubleshooting.

SugarCRM Mobile App 44.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancement is available in this release:

  • List view multi-selection and mass update: Press and hold records in any list view to select many records at once and perform the following mass actions on them:
    • Delete: Delete the selected records. 
    • Doc Merge: Merge multiple records into one document, for example, a set of mailing labels based on contact records in Sugar.
    • Email: For records with an email address (e.g., contacts, leads), start composing an email to all selected recipients.
    • Export: Export the selected records to a CSV file that can be opened in a spreadsheet application.

  • 88050: A "Resource not found" error occurs when opening an email record via the Emails subpanel of another record (e.g., an account).

SugarCRM Mobile App 43.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Dropdown-conditional detail views: Administrators can now define detail view layouts that will change based on the value selected from a given dropdown field on the record.
  • Email recipient modules: When selecting recipients while composing an email, the module of the recipient (e.g., contact, user) is indicated by a color-coded circle so you can confirm which type of record you are choosing.
  • Tasks with no start date shown on calendar: Tasks that have a due date but no start date set are now displayed in the calendar's day view at the time they are due.
  • Improved note attachment upload performance: Uploading reliability has been improved when attaching multiple files to a note when the internet connection is poor.

  • 89244: An internal error occurs when trying to set a custom Product Catalog relationship field on a record.
  • 89028: Sugar Mobile does not respect the user's email client preference (i.e., Sugar or external) and always uses the Sugar email client within the app.
  • 88253: When connected to a Sugar instance using the opportunities-only model, the Update Open Revenue Line Items checkbox is still displayed on opportunities and prevents the user from editing the Expected Close Date.

SugarCRM Mobile App 42.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Doc Merge: It is now possible to generate PDF and DOCX files based on records directly in the mobile app when connected to a Sugar Sell or Serve instance.
  • Forecasting at the opportunity level: It is now possible to cascade the value of an opportunity's Forecast field to its eligible revenue line items by checking the Update Open Revenue Line Items checkbox when editing the value on the opportunity.
  • Refresh all dashlet tabs at once: When pulling down to refresh a multi-tabbed dashlet (e.g., Active Tasks), all tabs are refreshed rather than just the one you are viewing.
Fixed Issues

  • 88908, 80995: Images added to records while offline are not properly saved and synced to the Sugar instance when the app goes online again.

SugarCRM Mobile App 41.0

Feature Enhancements

The following feature enhancements are available in this release:

  • Email composing in the app: You can now draft, send, and reply to emails directly in Sugar Mobile.
    • Rich-text formatting: Draft and format emails using the WYSIWYG text editor.
    • Recipient selection: Use the address book, suggested recipients, or manual entry to add recipients to the email.
    • Email templates and signatures: Select and apply email templates and signatures that you have access to in Sugar, including having your default signature applied by default.
  • Push notifications in more regions: Push notifications for record assignments and comment log mentions are now available for devices connected to Sugar instances in the following regions: Canada (Central) and Europe (London).
  • Global Search custom filters: You can now build and save custom filters in Global Search to narrow down the results to a subset of modules and further apply predefined filters such as "Modified by Me".
  • Compose Email Action Buttons: The Compose Email action type is now available to be used in Action Buttons in the mobile app.
  • List view filter improvements:
    • Temporary list view filters: You can now build filters on list views without saving them, allowing you to temporarily apply a filter without cluttering the list of saved filters for the module.
    • Text search with a custom filter applied: It is now possible to search via the search bar when you have a custom filter applied so that you can search within the filtered list of results.
  • Calendar improvements:
    • Overlapping events displayed side by side: Calendar events that take place in overlapping time slots are now displayed side by side in day view so that the contents of each event are not hidden by other events.
    • Full task duration shown in the calendar: Tasks are now displayed from their start time until their due date and time instead of only on their due date.
    • Agenda view updated when opened: After switching from day view, agenda view now automatically loads any new events so you do not have to manually refresh to see updates.

  • 88884: If a module has a dropdown field with a large number of values, it may cause the module's list view to be slow to load and appear to be frozen.
  • 88845: An error may occur when opening the list of notes related to a case in the mobile app.
  • 88361: Opportunity fields that can be cascaded (e.g., Expected Close Date) are not editable and their values cannot be cascaded to the opportunity's revenue line items using the Update Open Revenue Line Items checkbox when connected to a Sugar Enterprise instance.

  • 88628: If a note is created with an attachment while the mobile app is offline, the attachment file disappears once the app comes back online.
  • 8624086192: Certain fields (e.g., Teams field, custom text fields) are always shown as empty in Sugar Mobile detail and edit views unless the fields are also added to the desktop record view.
