Sugar Portal

The Sugar Portal section includes topics covering working with and troubleshooting the external-facing portal which is available with Sugar Enterprise and Ultimate editions.


    Sugar Portal can be configured by administrator users via Admin > Sugar Portal. From here the look and feel, as well as the fields available to end users can be managed.
    When you purchase Sugar Enterprise or Ultimate, your license contains a provision to not allow more than 50 contacts to be authorized for portal use. This limit is intended for customers who host the portal in our cloud environment. If you opt to host the portal on your own web server (i.e. "on-site"), this restriction can be lifted via a database query.
    When you purchase Enterprise or Ultimate editions of Sugar, you have the option to install and configure a portal for your customers to interact with your users. The portal allows your customers to file cases, bugs and review knowledge base articles. If you are experiencing problems with the initial installation of your portal, follow the steps below to ensure everything is configured properly.
